Greetings from Asheboro!
The Asheboro Open X is Saturday, March 4th, 2006.  We want to cordially invite you to attend.  If you love chess, Asheboro has a lot to offer.
You never know who will show up at The Asheboro Open!  This month, FIDE Master Andrey Chumachenko (2449) has committed to play and will be our honored guest.  Don't miss your chance to see this chess powerhouse in action! I met this nice man at Bertucci's in Charlotte, and in a skittles game he made my Fried Liver look like last week's leftovers.
Our new advertisement in the February 2006 issue of Chess Life has already resulted in several inquiries.  We are cautiously optimistic about this month's turnout.  We want to thank everyone who has supported this
tournament so far!
We have a new & improved Tournament Results Page.  For the inside scoop, crosstables, photos and more, simply follow this direct link:  http://asheborochess.com/ResultsPhotos.htm
I will be in the saddle as Chief Tournament Director this month.  As always, you can expect computerized pairings, on time rounds, and a playing environment conducive to great chess.  We also try to have our tournaments rated by the very next day,
so you can see your results quickly.
This is a great time for North Carolina chess!
We hope to see you Saturday!  Mark your calendar!  The Asheboro Open X:  March 4th, 2006.
