Leland: I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Carolinas Challenge. I realize there were a few MINOR problems, but nothing that can't be fixed in the future. Given the format of the tournament (NC vs SC) Mr. Causey did a remarkable job. I heard one individual complain because he/she was paired with someone from his/her own state. Anyone can see that this was unavoidable, EVEN an educated master. I came to SC to play chess. I was paired with 3 people from NC, it didn't bother me in the least. (I had never played any of them) I also want to say that Mr. James MacDougall is a class act. After crushing me in chess, he bought my dinner! That was a first for me. I encourage Mr. Fuerstman and Mr. Causey to have the tournament again next year.     Bobby Waddell
