CCC Players Shine at LotS Asheville, NC 1-17-08:  This past weekend at the Land of the Sky in Asheville, in the Top Section, Expert Gary "NightCrawler" Newsom scored 3-2 and increased his rating by 31 points from 2034 to 2065! His CCC team mate 13 year old phenom, Samuel "Xman" Xin scored 3-2 and increased his rating by 23 points from 1972 to 1995! In the Under 2000 Section, 16 year old phenom Thomas "Hitman" Paradis tied for =1st-4th Place with 4.5-.5 and increased his rating by 19 points from 1954 to 1973! In additon, 15 year old phenom Peter "the Greek" Giannatos tied for =5th-8th Place with 4-1 and increased his rating by 117 points from 1629 to 1746! and Dr. Gil "Sherlock" Holmes scored 3.5-1.5 and increased his rating by 21 points from 1765 to 1786! In the Under 1600 Section, 12 year old phenom Robin "Hood" Yopp tied for =1st-3rd with 4.5-.5 and increased his rating by 67 points from 1535 to 1602!
