to thank all of you very much for supporting the Charlotte Chess Club. Even
in my old age, chess continues to be one of my passions. The Skyland
Family Restaurant is a great place to dine, socialize and play chess.
It would be better if more players would join us. Though some may not
appreciate my style of openly asking questions about certain sensitive
subjects, I can assure you that my intentions are honorable. We are all
in this for the same reasons; to enjoy the competition and promote our
Royal Game of Chess. As I have always loudly insisted, I have a right
to voice my opinion and criticize others. Therefore, I shouldn't be too
surprised when others do the same to me! Hence, I include a creative
video which has been provided by my "arch friend" Chad Eller entitled "A Christmas
Carol". But, you must remember, Scrooge ended up being a good
guy! (Hey, my grandkids loved it!) This is a perfect time to remind you about Quark XIV which will take place this Saturday, December 26, at the Mint Hill Public Library. The Entry Fee is only $10! Put on that new Christmas sweater and come on out! Anyway, everybody is off the day after Christmas! There are many great restaurants within walking distance.
